Leon Chiwome Joins Colchester United On Loan

Leon Chiwome has joined League 2 side Colchester United on a season long loan from his parent club Wolverhampton Wanderers for the 2026/2027 season.

Since making his Premier League debut against Aston Villa in March 2024, unfortunately a chain of injury setbacks including a severe ACL injury has limited the opportunities to build any form of momentum for the young striker who has represented England at U17 and U18 level.

This loan, the first of Chiwome’s playing career, provides an excellent opportunity to gain valuable playing minutes, continue building his match fitness and further his development with regular senior football.

We’re looking forward to seeing Leon back out on the pitch doing what he does best and wish him every success.
